A contemplative and atmospheric work, this pieces merges layers of calico and chiffon to explore translucency, absorption and fluidity. Ink and fabric dye bleed into the textile surface, forming organic gradients that that evoke shifting skies. Influenced by processes used by my seamstress grandmother, while exploring my own connection to the act of layering, tucking and folding fabric
