Daniel Arsham
Daniel Arsham (b. 1980) is an American multidisciplinary artist whose work blends architecture, sculpture, design, and performance to explore the concept of “fictional archaeology.” Based in New York, Arsham is known for creating objects that appear to be excavated from the future. He creates eroded relics of contemporary culture rendered in materials such as volcanic ash, quartz, and crystal. A co-founder of the design studio Snarkitecture, he frequently collaborates across disciplines, working with brands, dancers, musicians, and fashion houses. Arsham’s practice investigates time, material transformation, and the instability of cultural memory, establishing him as a leading voice in contemporary art and design.
