Collection: Piicasa

Callum Simmons, aka Piicasa creates a series of paintings with contrasting colours, fields and shapes inspired by nature and his urban environment of Manchester. He interprets the work as both controlled and chaotic, aiming the viewer to look twice into them. At the first glance, they look blurred, but when you look closely into them, they’re stripes: following a systematic pattern. Callum demonstrates his knowledge of colour to ensure the paintings create an illusion of a glow when observing from a distance. Unlike other abstract artists, Callum uses precise shapes and forms to captivate his viewers into his work. His paintings are like an open space which attracts viewers into his life experiences and shares his vision of lights and shadow.
