The piece depicts the traditional, iconic crucifixion scene of Jesus Christ, but Banksy completely removes the wooden cross. Instead, Christ is shown suspended in the air, heavily weighed down by dripping shopping bags wrapped in pink ribbons.

Inside the shopping bags, you can spot classic holiday gifts like candy canes and a Mickey Mouse toy. The work serves as a sharp, dark-humor critique of modern consumerism and the commercialization of Christmas, highlighting what the artist views as the hypocrisy of modern religious celebration.
