In 1991, as a fundraising initiative in support of the Aids Crisis Trust in London, David Hockney created a series of illustrations representing the Alphabet.   Each letter has an accompanying text commissioned or curated by the poet, Sir Stephen Spender and comprising work from a glittering collection of distinguished writers and poets
