Collection: Mira Hirtz

Mira Hirtz is an artist, curator and educator who explores the intersections of art, health, ecology, and science. With her work she wants to embrace life's complexities and messiness. In this, performative tools, the bodywork and concepts of care are key for her thinking and creating. This leads to many formats such as performances, multi-sensory installations, exhibitions and workshops.

Mira holds the MFA Creative Practice from TL Conservatoire London and the MA in art research from HfG Karlsruhe. She currently works as the Access Lead at Turf Projects London and co-curates the exhibition “Critical Zones. In Search of a Common Ground” (with ZKM | Karlsruhe, Goethe-Institut South Asia, Bruno Latour). Her recent artistic work includes “feel soft” at ASC Croydon, London; “SOMA CITY” at We are Awareness in Art, Zurich; and the workshop “Exploring notions of care” at La Loge, Brussels.

Currently Mira investigates the dialogue between her own experience of chronic health conditions, healing and art.
