This photograph was the first major group portrait of the Beatles taken by Terry O’Neill during the recording of "She Loves You" and its B-side "I’ll Get You" in the garden of Abbey Road Studios in London, July 1, 1963. The group would go on to be regarded as the most influential band of all time and prove integral to the development of 1960s counterculture and popular music's recognition as an art form.
