Deggy

Deggy has always been a creative force—from skateboarding and music to a rebellious entry into the art world, where early criticism of spray painting as an “unrespected” medium only fuelled his drive. Refusing to conform, Deggy forged his own path, building a distinctive artistic voice rooted in street culture, bold colour, and unconventional materials.

Primarily working with spray paint, Deggy’s practice also incorporates collage, sugar, tea, acrylics, and more. His work is a vibrant fusion of music, pop culture, colour, and shape—each piece layered with personal meaning and visual energy.

In 2022, Deggy completed a nationally acclaimed mural of Dame Vivienne Westwood, which earned him a feature on BBC News. In 2024, he created a tribute mural in Stockport to the late Sarah Harding, a beloved member of Girls Aloud, which garnered widespread praise across the UK, particularly in the Manchester area.

2025 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for Deggy, with large-scale murals planned in Manchester City Centre and a major exhibition scheduled at Oldham Art Gallery.
